Top Christmas Décor Trends for Australian Homes 2026
Christmas in Australia is unlike anywhere else in the world. We celebrate in the middle of summer, with backyard barbecues, beach trips, and long sunny evenings. But that doesn't mean our homes can't look absolutely magical. Here are the top Christmas décor trends taking Australian homes by storm in 2026.
1. Animated & Interactive Decorations
Static decorations are out — movement is in. Australians are increasingly opting for animated pieces that bring energy and fun to their festive spaces. Our Animated White Christmas Bear 110cm (AUD $495.00) is the ultimate statement piece — a life-sized animated bear that commands attention in any room, hallway, or retail space.
2. Warm, Earthy Tones
Gone are the days of purely red and green. In 2026, Australian homes are embracing warm, earthy Christmas palettes — think burgundy, denim, natural linen, and deep forest greens. Our Christmas Bear Girl Burgundy 44cm (AUD $95.00) fits perfectly into this trend with its rich, warm colouring.
3. Rustic Metal Accents
Industrial-meets-festive is a huge trend this year. Metal signs, wire decorations, and brushed finishes are appearing in stylish Australian homes everywhere. Our Christmas Eve Metal Sign (AUD $39.95) is a perfect example — rustic, bold, and effortlessly on-trend.
4. Scent as a Décor Element
Australians are increasingly treating scent as part of their Christmas décor — not just an afterthought. A beautifully presented candle on a coffee table or mantle is both decorative and atmospheric. Our Christmas Pine Candle 120G (AUD $24.95) brings that classic pine forest scent into your home, even in the middle of an Australian summer.
5. Whimsical & Playful Details
Australians love a bit of fun at Christmas, and whimsical decorations are having a major moment. Think quirky hanging ornaments, novelty characters, and unexpected touches that make guests smile. Our Playful Christmas Mice Hanging Decoration (AUD $13.50) is the perfect affordable accent to add a touch of playful charm to your tree or home.
